Watercolor course October 25-31, 2026, max 7 participants. Warm welcome to Azillanet in the South of France to paint in watercolor with Marie Andersson, professional watercolorist, who is a recognized and highly appreciated educator with long experience in teaching watercolor painting courses. More about Marie: www.marieanderssonart.com

The course suits both beginners and those who paint regularly. During five course days, you get at least four hours of teacher-led time per day, and beyond that, you have time for your own painting as well as to explore the surroundings during all days of your stay here in the south of France. You receive guidance and pedagogical support based on your own conditions and wishes. More information about the course itself and what to bring can be found further down in the document.

During the week, we also make excursions in the nearby area to places that provide exciting inspiration for our painting, such as
Minerve, Canal du Midi and the local market. We take a joint afternoon excursion one of the days and eat at a French restaurant for the evening meal.

The starting point for the course is accommodation with full board at the Swedish-owned B&B CheRiedel Chambres d’hôtes & Galerie d’Art (Susanne & Philipp Riedel) and its annex (Becky & Paul Collins B&B). CheRiedel is located in the small picturesque winegrowing village of Azillanet. More about the accommodation can be found at www.cheriedel.se or www.booking.com

Every day, breakfast, a two-course lunch, and a four-course dinner including wine are served. During the week, we eat good Mediterranean food and taste wine from the region.

The atmosphere in the village with its narrow alleys and stone houses is characterized by calm and quiet with a familiar feeling where everyone greets each other with a “Bonjour”. In the village, you can sit, in principle, anywhere to paint.

After this artist retreat, you will be filled with inspiration for your painting and with lovely memories of tastes, scents, and fine encounters with the other course participants.
